General information on genealogy:

An experience we made during our genealogy is that up to the early 1900-hundreds it was very common to find a partner in the same village or possibly in the neighboring village. Often every family had many children.

A boy in a family married a girl in another family. To find the different relationships and how the families are connected can be complicated, not least to see who is the cousin, second cousin etc.

An example can be found in the link Family Relations (Släktrelationer, only in Swedish) from Bengt's family. Here we have just tried to describe the basis of the siblings, but then there are relationships between the different sibling pairs.
