B. Family history on Bengt´s mother´s side

Bengt's grandparents were Johan-August Johansson, born 11 March 1878 in Wästorp Södergård, Furuby outside Växjö and Amanda Kristina Carlsdotter born 1 October 1876 in, Grisebo (Åkerby) in Ljuder. Johan-August died September 15, 1953 in Nickalycke, 75 years old and Amanda died June 16, 1948 in Nickalycke, 71 years old.

They got the children:

Carl Edvin was born Dec. 27, 1901 in Grisebo, Åkerby. Died June 21, 1960 in Emmaboda Municipality, 58 years old.

Anna Elisabeth Sophia was born June 2, 1904 in Nickalycke. Died February 21 1990 in Lessebo, 85 years old.

Esther Elvira Christine was born March 8, 1907 in Nickalycke. Died March 11, 1907 in Nickalycke, only 3 days old.

Ruth Ester Linnea was born April 16, 1911 in Nickalycke. Died November 14 1993 Kråksjö, 82 years old.

Linnea Berta Signe Matilda was born February 23, 1914 in Nickalycke. Died February 25, 1914 in Nickalycke, only 2 days old.

Klas Johan Maurits was born September 22, 1916 in Nickalycke. Died September 24, 1916 in Nickalycke, only 2 days old.

Yngve Harry Lennart born January 25, 1918 in Nickalycke. Died August 15, 1918 in Nickalycke, only 6.5 months old.

Hertha Gulli Otilia was born June 14, 1920 in Nickalycke. Died December 1 1997 in Växjö, 77 years old. Hertha was Bengt's mother.

Stig Erik Henry was born September 9, 1922 in Nickalycke. Died January 22 2005 in Skruv, 82 years old.

Bengt's grandmother Amanda was born on Åkerby Mellangård. Her father's name was Carl Henriksson, born in 1834 and died in 1925. Carl had, inter alia, a brother named Samuel, born in 1837 and died in 1917. Samuel emigrated to the US and died in Polk Co., Minnesota.

So far we have had limited contact with this family line, but we hope to develop contacts with even those relatives later on.
