The contents of our website
The contents of our website are currently composed of
- information about Sigtuna, the place where we live and
- information about Hälleberget, the house we live in and
- information from our Family history.
We have researched the family more closely since we retired in the early 2000ths.
The results of this research we have compiled with the help of the system Disgen. Some of the reports have been generated from this system and can be found on this website.
In addition, we have during our family history research, found some material of particular interest. This is also available on this website. E.g. a particular material on Heddamåla-children.
So far we have only completed the website in English with information on Bengt's father's side.
You can see which tabs we've posted by going to the menu Family history and the submenu Bengt's father's side and then select the area you find interesting. From there you can navigate to the area you wish to look into.
Password:
Some material we have, inter alia confidentiality, decided to place under a password. In those types of cases, the material can be found as a link in form of an Office- or PDF file. To open such a file you need a password. If you have not received such a password - see next paragraph.
If you belong to our family and have not received notice from us for a password, please contact us via the Contact form and specify the way in which we have a relationship, and we will send you a password. We ask you not to disclose your password to other people, as we are interested to make contact with the people we are related to and perhaps we have not yet had contact with that person, in order to improve and develop related material.
To open an Office file on your desctop you need a program like Word or Excel from Microsoft. If you do not have such a program and do not want to pay for this, we recommend a free program called Libre. You can download it via this link: LibreOffice. The program is tested and safe.
To similarly be able to open a PDF file you need such a program. Most common is the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be found via this link: Reader. Remember to clear the McAfee Security. That program we don´t think you need because you've probably already have a security program - or ?!
You can find those programs also if you use a pad or a mobile.
